Excelent photo, you know how to take photos from gulls... I just have to admit that I hate the watermark on this photo... Its just so disturbing and annoying. Though my photos never used without permission or stolen so I don't understand the value of watermark so well.

I know you hate them, and I hate them, too, but I also hate my photos been all over the internet or even being selled by someone else. That's why I have to do it. I originally wanted to place it on one of the gull's wings but it looked awful. So I placed it where it is now. Even if it is a stupid place because you can easily get rid of it.

i agree with *jariko*....this is such an awesome shot and would have found a spot in my favs but has been spoiled by the watermark..shame...anyway apart from that it deserves a ...well done....people who steal or use others shots are more to be pitied and you have the original so why worry so much and spoil such shots because of others lack of imagination.

Because I'm sick of people making money with my photos and saying they are theirs. As long as DA is allowing people to load our photos easily down, we are forced to protect us with ugly water marks. At least mine is not as ugly as the big one from DA. Other photo sites doesn't allow right clicks on the photos, and so you don't have to spoil your photos with water marks. I have accepted that people use my photo unasked in blogs and on their pages in languages I don't understand and so don't know in which content my photos are shown, but I will never accept that people will make money with my work and say it is theirs.
I'm sorry that this watermark is spoiling the photo that much for you.
